CURIOSITY
Plums are rich in polyphenols , substances that neutralize free radicals , responsible for cellular degeneration typical of aging . In fact, lutein, cryptoxanthin and zeaxanthin are vitamins belonging to the family of flavonoids , which act by counteracting reactive oxygen species (ROS ) and free radicals . In particular in plums it can be found chlorogenic acid , able to counteract the negative effects of body fat .
